The Fukae Fault is an active fault running nearly parallel to the Futsu Fault, and located at the southeastern edge of the Unzen Graben. It is a normal fault with the land subsidence on the northern side, and has a feature that the fault throws on the mountain side are larger than the ones on the coastal side.
