Mt. Unzen Suwanoike Visitor Center was set up by Ministry of the Environment and is located at the shore of Suwanoike Pond. The Center displays the exhibits about wildlife and plants including the birds flock around the Suwanoike Pond. In addition to the events to contact closely with nature, the Center regularly holds the programs to observe stars and the Sun with a large astronoical telescope.
